- Monarch: Both have the same monarch, Queen Elizabeth ll. In Jamaica they call her The Queen of Jamaica.

- School system: England has compulsory education for children form 5-16, but in Jamaica they have compulsory education for children from 5-12.

- Traditions: A food tradition in Jamaica is fried fish, which they also have in The UK called fish and chips.

- Holidays/Celebrations: Both celebrate Christmas on the 25 December.
New Year’s Day 1 January.
Good Friday 10 April.
Easter Monday 13 April.

- Religions: Christianity is the main religion in both countries.

- Commonwealth: Jamaica and The UK is a part of the commonwealth.
